A one-day South Dakota 4-H event where teens explore how local government works through hands-on activities, real-world simulations and conversations with community leaders. Participants meet local officials to learn about city and county government, see how elections are run, and find ways to make a difference in their communities, building leadership, critical thinking and decision-making skills along the way.

Open to 4-H members and non-4-H youth age 13 and up. Lunch is included. Registration is required and closes November 2. Space is limited to 25, and the event needs at least 10 registrations to go ahead. Hosted with the SDSU School of Global and American Studies.
